"They censor reviews CONSTANTLY"
They censor reviews CONSTANTLY. I read the rest of the inn cells below and I need to add, my review was a glowing review of a very progressive show but they still declined it. As per usual,

By the by, if your only criticism of something is "Ariel isnt black" or "the Harkonens aren't skinheads" BY DEFINITION you are in fact promoting Hate. Maybe take a good hard look at yourself FOR ONCE and figure out why you're being rejected constantly.

"IMDB Removes ratings for controvacy"
IMDB Removes ratings for anything controvercial so you do not get a real reflection of it's score. It also will do this selectively in order to reinforce its racist position.

"IMDB is full woke"
IMDB used to be a great website. Now, the reviewing experience is awful. You must write at least 600 characters, and they deny any negative comment. And no comment including woke topics, such as LGBT, white privileges, etc. is allowed. I had reviews declined as follows:

Reason: Does not meet contribution guidelines.
Reason: Not specified

Just because I say Cleopatra was not black or King Æthelstan wasn't gay doesn't imply hatred towards black or gay people. But in the little minds of the woke moderators at IMDB it probably does.

I'm looking for a good alternative, IMDB sucks!

"What a joke"
What a joke. This was a great website to find out about actors and actresses. Now its absolutely USELESS. It only shows their performances and no biography. Never use them

"600 Characters"
It is annoying that imdb now requires reviews to be at least 600 characters. Not every review requires 600 characters. All that requirement does is cause people to type long-winded unnecessary stuff in their review. I wish imdb would get rid of that requirement.

"IMDB has ruined the platform by …"
IMDB has ruined the platform by first erasing all content by deleting their forums and now they are censoring all negative reviews.

The only place to talk freely about movies and TV is moviechat .org , it should not have to be this way.
how the mighty have fallen.

"Every change is for the worse"
Given that IMDb is owned by Amazon, which has a website that is arguably the foundation of its success because it is so well-designed and intuitive, it is ironic that the IMDb website is getting progressively worse.
Changes aimed at speeding up access to key information have just made it look messy. And the search function is extremely slow - the biggest irony is that finding something on IMDb is now quickest if you just type 'IMDb - subject' into Google, rather than using the search function on IMDb itself.

"Only about "parents guide""
I only used the "parents guide" part so far but am more than grateful for it. It's very easily to navigate and even though I'm not sure how to put it in words properly, so far it has really helped me with avoiding movies that would trigger me.

"Great website but was a little ticked off by comparing ratings"
I was updating my privacy setting for ratings and on their webpage for ratings privacy setting ( it looks something like Privacy Settings, then under it says rating in olive green color ,then it has three options you choose from on how you want to set up your ratings (and update your ratings privacy setting as well) such as do you want them to be public , private or public only with reviews. But I noticed that under the ratings (on their privacy setting webpage) for rating -which is in olive green color- says the message "Sharing your rating history allows other users to compare their ratings to yours and displays your rating on any reviews you write (IMDb)" - I did not like how it says where others users will compare their ratings to yours. This website should not be used to compare ratings (it doesn't make any sense to compare ratings anyway like it is everyone's own choice how they want to rate something , users do not come to IMDb to compare their ratings to other users they just come there to rate and share their opinion about something that is it). The IMDb. com ratings and review set up is easy/quick unlike other websites which is very good. It takes 2 seconds to find the ratings and the reviews on whatever we want to rate/leave a review on which is good and not too much time consuming.

"Woke garbage platform"
Woke garbage platform. They don't allow freedom of speech anymore and removed the leaderboards to further censoring. Disgusting!

"Pay wall and 600 character review minimum ruined site"
First they changed reviews to 600 characters basically eliminating all but long winded reviews, much of it complaining about the 600 characters.

Funny thing is. -That- they mange but when it comes to the 100s of thousands of fake reviews, IMDB couldn't care less.

More hurtful is they are now putting most of the movie and TV details behind a pay wall. I was wondering how long it would take for that.

I used to love IMDB but now it is basically unusable. I now have a shortcut to Rotten tomatoes. Who still shows all details and allows shorter reviews for those of us who are not professional movie critics.

Adios IMDB!

"Honestly it is the worst customer service on any paying website."
Honestly it is the worst customer service on any paying website. The responses are canned responses and you have to go back and forth several times to explain that what THEY ARE Saying Doesnt work. Hopefully you get someone that believes you or you are screwed. Also their response time is ridiculous. IMDb isnt cheap to have a Pro Subscription and they just TAKE THEIR TIME. If my agent and manager didnt want me to have this subscription I wouldnt give them a penny.

"600 character limit"
The 600 character limit requirement for reviews is really annoying, the site didn't used to require that. Not every review requires 600 characters. I wish they would remove that requirement.
